Kimberley Aboriginal Law and Culture Centre (KALACC) is the Kimberley region’s peak Aboriginal Law and Culture organisation. Based in Fitzroy Crossing, KALACC works across the Kimberley to support the maintenance, promotion and continuation of Aboriginal culture, Law and traditions through cultural, community and intergenerational programs and activities.

The Position

KALACC is seeking an experienced Human Resource Adviser to provide professional HR advice and support across the organisation. Working closely with management and staff, the position will assist with recruitment and employment processes, workplace relations, performance management, HR policies and procedures, and compliance with relevant employment requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Advise management and staff on employment conditions, workplace relations, HR policies and personnel matters.

- Coordinate recruitment, selection, appointment and induction processes to support KALACC’s workforce requirements.

- Assist with the development, implementation and review of HR policies, procedures and employment practices.

- Provide advice and support in relation to employee performance, grievances, disciplinary matters, training and staff development.

- Maintain HR records and assist management to ensure employment practices comply with relevant workplace legislation, awards and organisational requirements.
