Hays is partnering with a Queensland Government organisation to recruit an experienced Executive Support Officer for a temporary full-time opportunity based in Brisbane.
This role will see you provide high-level executive and administrative support to a senior leader within a large and complex government environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy executive office, managing competing priorities while building strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Your new role
Reporting into a senior leadership team, your responsibilities will include:
Providing high-level executive and administrative support
Complex diary and inbox management
Coordinating correspondence, briefing materials and information requests
Preparing meeting agendas, papers, minutes and action items
Managing travel arrangements and logistics
Assisting with financial and administrative processes
Coordinating office operations, resources and stakeholder communications
Supporting business improvement initiatives and project-related activities
Maintaining confidential records and information management systems
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Proven experience supporting senior executives within a government or large corporate environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
What you'll get in return
Attractive pay rate of $64.93 per hour + super
Full-time position working 40 hours per week
Initial contract through to 30 June 2027
