Avisa Chef – Full Time Panlasang Pinoy – Kogarah, NSW Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation Full-time – 38 hours per week Panlasang Pinoy is an established family-owned restaurant specialising in authentic Filipino cuisine. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our team in Kogarah on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Filipino dishes, maintaining consistent food and presentation standards, assisting with menu planning, and supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

Benefits Task & responsibilities Key duties and responsibilities include: Planning and preparing menus and meals in accordance with recipes and restaurant quality standards Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of Filipino dishes Monitoring the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards Monitoring food stock and placing orders as required Managing food storage, freezing and preservation to maintain freshness and minimise waste Working closely with management, kitchen and waiting staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations Training and mentoring kitchen staff to maintain consistency in food preparation and service Implementing and maintaining kitchen procedures and ensuring staff compliance Assisting with purchasing and monitoring stock levels Qualification & experience Qualifications and experience: Relevant commercial cookery qualification diploma or appropriate industry experience Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in a commercial kitchen atleast 3 years of closely related experience will substitute for formal qualifications Experience preparing Filipino cuisine is highly regarded Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff Strong knowledge of food safety, quality and kitchen procedures Good communication, organisational and time-management skills About Company Panlasang Pinoy is an established family-owned restaurant specialising in authentic Filipino cuisine.
