Principal Systems Analyst - ICT Solutions

Intermarc Global Pty Ltd The Principal Systems Analyst - ICT Solutions provides senior technical leadership in analysing business requirements and developing secure, scalable ICT solutions. The role leads solution architecture, system evaluation, requirements analysis and integration planning across digital transformation, cybersecurity, cloud and smart infrastructure. The position works with customers and technical teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Tasks and responsibilities: Lead the analysis, design and technical assurance of complex, tailored ICT and integrated engineering systems across enterprise networks, fibre and IP infrastructure, cloud platforms, data centres, cybersecurity, ELV systems, smart buildings, net-zero buildings and integrated digital infrastructure. Consult with customers, users, engineers and business stakeholders to identify operational needs, analyse existing systems and translate business requirements into functional specifications, system architectures, integration requirements and solution designs.

Evaluate existing ICT processes, applications and infrastructure; identify system limitations, integration gaps and performance issues; and recommend system modifications, additional components or new solutions. Develop and maintain system architecture principles, technical specifications, data and process models, integration standards, design-review gates, testing requirements, quality controls and lifecycle-management practices.

Act as the principal technical reference throughout major projects - from requirements analysis and solution evaluation through system design, implementation, integration, testing, acceptance and transition into operations. Coordinate with developers, network engineers, cybersecurity specialists, building-services engineers, vendors and delivery teams to ensure that hardware, software, communications and engineering components operate as an integrated system.

Develop and oversee system verification, integration-testing and user-acceptance processes to confirm that implemented solutions satisfy documented functional, performance, security and availability requirements. Analyze technical risks, system dependencies, interoperability requirements and implementation constraints, and provide evidence-based recommendations to customers and senior management. Ensure that system specifications and technical recommendations address applicable Australian and NSW legislation, the National Construction Code, relevant Australian Standards, contractual obligations, cybersecurity requirements, workplace health and safety considerations, and customer assurance expectations.

Maintain system documentation, decision records, requirements traceability and technical assurance reports throughout the solution lifecycle. Qualifications and experience: A relevant master’s degree or higher qualification in information technology, computer science, systems engineering, telecommunications engineering, business information systems or a closely related discipline; or demonstrably equivalent professional experience.

At least 20 years of progressively responsible experience in systems analysis, ICT, telecommunications, digital transformation or integrated engineering solutions, including substantial experience in senior technical, solution architecture or systems leadership positions. Demonstrated experience leading systems analysis, design and technical assurance for large-scale ICT programs involving enterprise networks, fibre and IP infrastructure, cloud and data platforms, data centres, cybersecurity, ELV systems, smart buildings or integrated digital infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of systems integration, interoperability, requirements traceability, solution evaluation, technical risk assessment, testing, user acceptance and transition to operations.
