Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 + superannuation, depending on experience

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and personable Restaurant Manager to join our team at a wine bar and restaurant.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who genuinely loves hospitality, has a strong understanding of food and wine, and takes pride in creating exceptional experiences for guests. We are looking for a manager who can lead from the front, build a great team and ensure the venue operates to a consistently high standard.

The Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the venue, working closely with the owners and kitchen team to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for our guests.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards across service, staff performance, guest experience and venue presentation, while fostering a positive and professional workplace culture.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and wine bar

Leading, motivating and developing the front-of-house team

Maintaining exceptional standards of food, wine and beverage service

Delivering warm, knowledgeable and attentive guest service

Taking an active role on the floor and leading by example

Managing reservations, bookings and guest relationships

Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally

Staff training, onboarding and ongoing development

Preparing and managing staff rosters

Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety, RSA and other relevant regulations

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and inventory management

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and venue organisation

Working closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth service

Assisting with cost control, wage management and other operational requirements

Contributing to the development of the venue's service standards and culture

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, Sommelier or senior hospitality professional

Has a genuine passion for food, wine and hospitality

Is confident leading a team in a busy, high-quality restaurant environment

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Understands what exceptional hospitality looks like

Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in presentation

Is calm, organised and solutions-focused under pressure

Is confident dealing with guests and building strong customer relationships

Has a strong understanding of wine and beverage service

Is commercially minded and understands the importance of labour, stock and cost control

Leads by example and is willing to be hands-on when required
