We are seeking a qualified and highly experienced Metal Fabricator to perform a range of engine and mechanical tests, to diagnose, repair, and service as detailed per product warranty guidelines, company policy, or Supervisor/Manager' instructions.

Key Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications for projects

• Select and prepare metal stock

• Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools and machinery

• Bend metal components and pipes using different techniques

• Align components using callipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces

• Inspect and evaluate welds for bead quality, penetration, accuracy, and overall precision.

• Finish fabricated products through cleaning, polishing, filing, and chemical treatment.

• Smooth and refine welds by filing, chiselling, and grinding to meet required quality standards

• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Requirements

• AQF Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent or relevant experience

• 2 - 3 years of work experience

• Fabrication skills in Steel, (solid wire) and/or Aluminium Welding, MIG/TIG

• Ability to meet production schedule deadlines and consistently produce high quality workmanship whilst maintaining a safe workplace environment

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail
