About this job

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Vocationally Registered General Practitioner to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of Australian veterans. Operating entirely within a 100% remote telehealth environment, this contract position allows the incoming practitioner to deliver high-quality care from anywhere within New South Wales. The practice environment is modern, digitally forward, and completely free from the traditional constraints of physical clinics. Backed by a robust, cloud-based digital infrastructure and dedicated administrative and technical support, the successful GP will enjoy seamless clinical workflows and complete freedom to focus entirely on patient outcomes and collaborative medical care.

At the heart of this role is a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team composition designed to optimize veteran care. The GP will work closely with an esteemed panel of medical specialists and allied health professionals, utilizing a mixed-billing framework tailored specifically to veteran health schemes. The practice boasts an exceptional support network, featuring highly trained chronic disease management coordinators, experienced practice nurses, and efficient administrative staff who manage all bookings, compliance, and digital documentation. Furthermore, practitioners are given the scope to expand into special interest opportunities, particularly in veteran health, complex trauma management, post-traumatic stress, and occupational rehabilitation.

This role prioritizes professional growth and work-life harmony, offering outstanding flexible working arrangements with a commitment of just 12 to 14 hours per week. Spread across two days, the schedule includes one dedicated day for multidisciplinary case conferencing (ideally Thursdays) and highly flexible hours for telehealth follow-ups. The organization fiercely champions complete clinical autonomy, ensuring the GP can practice medicine on their own terms without corporate micromanagement. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is strongly supported through regular peer-review panels, case-based learning, and access to unique supervisor opportunities for those interested in mentoring peers or contributing to veteran health advocacy.

Beyond the clinical benefits, the lifestyle advantages of this position are unparalleled. Because the role is entirely remote, the incoming practitioner can design their ideal daily routine, completely bypassing the daily commute. Whether residing in a bustling coastal hub or a serene regional town in NSW, the flexible hours allow the doctor to fully embrace the lifestyle benefits of their chosen location, perfectly balancing a rewarding medical career with personal passions, family life, or other clinical pursuits.
