Auto Masters Australia are leaders in the Australian automotive industry and continues to grow as one of the largest leading Automotive franchise networks in Australia.

We are currently seeking a Heavy Diesel Motor Mechanic to join the team! you will be responsible for the servicing, repairing, and testing of our clients’ motor vehicles in assuring their optimal mechanical condition. This is a full-time ongoing position working 40 hours per week in South Fremantle, WA.

Main tasks

• Providing expert advice in relation to mechanical condition of vehicles

• Mechanical vehicle repair and servicing including engine, transmission, body and suspension components

• Diagnosis, and repair of vehicle issues and defects per dealer & manufacturer warranty processes, standards, and guidelines

• Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to the Service Manager and recording information using service reporting systems

• Test driving and conducting final assessments prior to return of vehicles to customers

• Always maintaining a safe working environment

• Maintaining an up to date, high level of knowledge of all mechanical issues

• Other general workshop duties where required

Selection criteria

• Heavy Diesel Mechanic experience or qualifications from the applicant’s country of origin are highly regarded.

• Developed mechanical knowledge of the Automotive Industry – at least 3 years’ experience

• Ability to work productively & efficiently in an autonomous environment

• Understanding of relevant Health & Safety requirements

• Reliability and punctuality are a must

• Be a highly motivated & a self-starter

• Have a high attention to detail with ability to produce high quality workmanship

• Ability to follow dealership and brand procedures consistently

• Used vehicle reconditioning experience highly regarded

• Current manual driver's license

Hourly rate will be between $38.00 to $43.00 per hour (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
