Mechanical Technician

Our valued client Industrial Metal Services located in Queensland is a leading scrap metal merchants that specialises in buying and selling all kinds of metals.

They are seeking highly skilled and trade qualified Mechanical Technician to join their team of professionals in their Queensland Workshop.

The role includes but is not limited to:

Perform regular scheduled maintenance service on a range of vehicle

Perform diagnostics, repairs and service of vehicles and equipment both in workshop and field environment

Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed

Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance

Complete and maintain service and inspection documentations ensuring its compliance

May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness

May respond to vehicle or equipment breakdown service calls

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedure

Maintain a safe and clean work environment

To be considered for this role, you must have:

Strong mechanical knowledge on a wide variety of vehicle and equipment

Mechanical Technician trade qualification or equivalent

Knowledge in hydraulic repairs highly desirable

Experience in operating excavators, an advantage

Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment

Strong communication skills

Strong diagnostic abilities

Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable

Must have great work ethics

Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
