To apply you need to have a Bachelor of Science, with minimum five years’ experience as a Managing Director in the community services industry, demonstrated ability to use a range of active engagement strategies with clients and at-risk people and their families, and be culturally responsive, flexible and creative in meeting their needs, an understanding of the social context of the challenges that bring families to the attention of child protection services, child abuse and neglect and experience in using current theoretical approaches to support positive outcomes and the ability to undertake case management, conduct risk and needs assessments. We are offering $205K to $215K
You will be required to;
• Provide overall direction and management for the services, facilities, and the whole organisation.
• Ensure the compliance processes are up to date following the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission Standard and rules. Also, reporting to the Commission about changes, incidents, etc.
• Organise internal audits every quarter of the year, to ensure that the company is prepared for the external audits with the NDIS auditor.
• Develop, implement, monitor procedures, policies, standards for medical, nursing services (provide high intensity support to people with severe medical conditions by registered nurses), allied health and administrative staff.
• Monitor and evaluate resources devoted to health, welfare, recreation, housing, employment, training and other community facilities and centres.
• Liaise with other health and welfare providers, boards, and funding bodies to discuss areas of health and welfare service cooperation and coordination.
• Advise government bodies about measures to improve health and welfare services and facilities.
• Represent the organisation at seminars, conventions, negotiations, forums, and public hearings.
• Control administrative operations such as budget planning, reports preparation, expenditure on supplies, equipment, and services.
• Provide our staff different training inside and outside of the organisation, regarding physical and mental disabilities.
• Coordinate and administer health and welfare programs and clinical services.
• Manage the clients NDIS fundings that are in range between $20,000 to $1,200,000 depending on the needs of services that the clients require.
• Synchronise services in coordination with GP, Physiotherapist, OT, Behavioural Therapist, Psychology, registered nurses and others, to provide out-of hospital health services to the clients.
• Liaise with professionals from the Public and Private health sector
• Control selection, training, and supervision of the staff.
• Engage with stakeholders such as hospitals, local service providers, charities, and the NDIS, to create connections that could facilitate the clients’ living skills and inclusion into the community, as well as the achievement of social goals.
• Keep clear communication with the family members of the clients and support workers to follow up on the improvements and achievements of the client’s goals.
• Work closely with the internal and external accountants, by controlling administrative operations, including budgets from the NDIS, invoices, weekly and monthly reports.
• Coordinate with different schools around Australia for placement opportunities, for the programs of mental health, disability, and community services.
