Light vehicle Automotive Electrician

We are currently seeking trade qualified and experienced Light vehicle auto electrician to join our workshop based at Unit 6 & & A 9 Lyn Parade Prestons NSW 2170. Sharmas Investments Australia Pty Ltd, trading as QuickStop Automotive Mechanical and Auto Electrical Shop based at Unit 6& 7A Lyn Prade, Prestons NSW, Australia. We currently have one position available.

About The Role

You are to perform:

• Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems, including batteries, alternators, starters, wiring, and lighting systems

• Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting using specialised equipment and diagnostic tools

• Install and maintain automotive electrical components and accessories

• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns

• Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on each job

• Ensure all work is completed to industry standards and in compliance with safety regulations

• Communicate effectively with customers regarding electrical issues, repair options, and quotations

• Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements

• Stay current with new vehicle technologies and electrical system developments

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems.

• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex electrical problems.

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.

• Experience with installing aftermarket electronic accessories.

• Familiarity with using diagnostic equipment/software.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and team members.

Qualifications and Training

• Certificate IV in Automotive Electrical Technology

• With at least 1 year of automotive electrical experience

• Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and safety standards

• A current Australian driver licence

• Professional & excellent customer service experience.

Salary

· Salary in the range of $80k to $89k per annum plus superannuation

· Ongoing training and support

Hours of Work

Full Time - 38 hours per week- Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5pm

Saturday 8.00am to 12pm(overtime)
