FIVE STAR LOCKSMITHS AND SECURITY is seeking a reliable, skilled, and client-focused Locksmith to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing a wide range of locks, security systems, and access control solutions.
This role requires a trade professional who can work independently and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and client satisfaction. The position offers a diverse and rewarding workload across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
The annual salary for this full-time position is $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation.
Tasks & Responsibilities include:
• Install, repair, service, and maintain mechanical and electronic locking systems.
• Cut, program, and duplicate keys for residential, commercial, and automotive applications.
• Install and maintain access control systems, master key systems, safes, and security hardware.
• Diagnose lock and security system faults and perform repairs efficiently.
• Respond to lockouts and emergency call-out requests when required.
• Conduct site assessments and provide recommendations for security improvements.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant industry standards and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and client documentation.
• Operate and maintain locksmith tools, equipment, and company vehicles responsibly.
• Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers, and team members.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.
• Deliver exceptional client service while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Must hold a relevant trade qualification in Locksmithing or a related field.
• Should have a minimum of one to three (1-3) years of experience as a Locksmith or in a similar role.
• Experience with residential, commercial, and electronic security systems is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated knowledge of lock installation, repairs, rekeying, and key-cutting procedures.
• Experience with access control systems, security hardware, and master key systems is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Clean police check or ability to obtain one.
• Full Australian working rights.
