Beauty Therapist (Nail Technician)

We provide a wide range of professional nail care, beauty and grooming services. ABOUT THE POSITION We are seeking a full-time Beauty Therapist (Nail Technician) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have the following duties: Consulting with clients to identify their beauty requirements, preferences and desired outcomes, and recommending suitable nail and beauty services. Assessing the condition of clients' nails, hands, feet and surrounding skin and selecting appropriate treatments, techniques and professional products. Advising clients on suitable nail colours, designs and finishes to complement their personal style and overall appearance.

Performing manicure and pedicure services, including gel and shellac applications, polish finishes and specialised hand and foot treatments. Applying, maintaining, refilling and removing artificial nail enhancements, including acrylic, BIAB/builder gel, polygel and SNS/dipping powder systems. Creating decorative nail art and customised finishes, including French tips, ombre, chrome and hand-painted designs.

Performing safe removal of gel polish and nail enhancements and carrying out nail repairs and maintenance treatments. Providing specialised hand and foot treatments, including paraffin treatments and short hand and foot massage services. Performing waxing and beauty grooming services as required, including eyebrow shaping and tinting, eyelash tinting, and facial and body waxing.

Monitoring treatment outcomes and evaluating the suitability and performance of professional nail and beauty products used during services. Advising clients on appropriate aftercare and recommending and selling suitable nail and beauty care products. Receiving client bookings, arranging appointments, maintaining relevant client and treatment records and providing professional customer service.

Maintaining clean, hygienic and properly prepared treatment areas and sterilising tools and equipment in accordance with salon health and safety procedures. Assisting with the training and guidance of other team members in nail and beauty treatment techniques, product use and salon service standards. QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Certificate IV or Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Nail Technology, or equivalent relevant qualification.

At least 1 year of relevant experience in nail and beauty services. Strong skills in manicures, pedicures, artificial nails, nail art, repairs and maintenance. Experience in waxing, eyebrow shaping/tinting and other beauty grooming services.
