Waiter Supervisor

The Rose Hotel & Motel is seeking a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Waiter Supervisor to join our hospitality team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, can work efficiently in a busy environment, and takes pride in providing excellent service to our guests.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing attentive table and dining service, assisting customers with food and beverage selections, supervising and supporting waitstaff during service, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience from arrival through to departure.

Key Responsibilities

* Welcome customers and assist with seating and table arrangements.

* Present menus, explain daily specials and provide information about food and beverage options.

* Take customer orders accurately and communicate orders to the kitchen and bar staff.

* Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and professional manner.

* Check on guests during their meals and respond to additional requests.

* Supervise and coordinate waitstaff during service to ensure efficient and professional customer service.

* Allocate tables and service duties to waitstaff and provide guidance and support as required.

* Clear and reset tables and maintain a clean, organised and presentable dining area.

* Process customer bills and assist with payments when required.

* Handle customer enquiries and resolve service issues in a polite and professional manner.

* Monitor the quality and timeliness of table service and address any service issues during busy periods.

* Coordinate with kitchen and other hospitality staff to ensure smooth service.

* Assist with training and mentoring waitstaff in service procedures, customer service and workplace standards.

* Follow workplace health, safety, food handling and hygiene procedures.

* Assist with general front-of-house duties during busy service periods.

About You

The successful applicant will ideally have:

* At least 1-year relevant experience in a waiter, waiter supervisor, food and beverage attendant or similar hospitality role.

* Excellent customer service and communication skills.

* A positive, professional and approachable manner.

* The ability to supervise, coordinate and support waitstaff in a busy hospitality environment.

* The ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy hospitality environment.

* Good attention to detail and the ability to accurately take and communicate orders.

* The ability to provide direction to team members and maintain high service standards.

* The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

* A strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, service and presentation.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually
