K&K Aguilar Investments Pty Ltd t/a Cuisina by Nena is a family-run, authentic Filipino restaurant located in Burpengary, Queensland. We provide dine-in, takeaway and catering services and are expanding operations to maintain seven-day trading, introduce breakfast service and increase catering capacity.
We are seeking a skilled, reliable and experienced full-time Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a genuine hands-on commercial kitchen role for a person who can prepare high-quality food efficiently, maintain consistent standards during busy service periods and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.

Employment type: Full-time, 38 hours per week
Salary: $79,499–$85,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience
Key responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present menu items to a consistent, high standard
Prepare and cook Filipino dishes in accordance with established recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
Support breakfast, lunch, dinner, takeaway and catering operations
Complete food preparation, mise en place and service efficiently during busy periods
Maintain food quality, portion control, stock rotation and food-waste minimisation practices
Assist with food costing, stock management and kitchen-workflow improvements
Receive, check and store food and kitchen supplies in accordance with food-safety requirements
Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen
Comply with food-safety, hygiene, allergen-management and workplace health-and-safety requirements
Work effectively in a small kitchen team and assist with training/support of other kitchen staff where required
Skills and experience required
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent relevant qualification
Demonstrated experience working in a commercial kitchen
Strong food-preparation, cooking, plating and time-management skills
Experience working efficiently during busy service periods
Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, stock rotation and kitchen safety
Experience with portion control, food costing, stock management and reducing food wastage
Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality and presentation
Reliable, positive and hardworking attitude
Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays where required
Experience preparing Filipino cuisine, or the ability to quickly learn and consistently execute Filipino dishes, will be highly regarded.
