AUD $70,000 – $90,000 per annum
Our client, Hooper Honey Trust is seeking a motivated and reliable Apiary Supervisor / Beekeeper to join their team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys outdoor work, values teamwork, and is open to continuous learning in a dynamic agricultural environment.
Due to the seasonal nature of beekeeping, flexibility with working hours and overtime is essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee monitoring and maintenance of honeybee health and record keeping
• Manage honey harvesting and hive operations in the field
• Monitor production targets related to honey extraction and processing
• Coordinate hive movements across sites
• Operate and maintain beekeeping equipment
• Conduct hive assessments for pollination readiness
• Ensure compliance with QA processes and biosecurity requirements
• Develop queen breeding strategies and hive genetic improvement programs
• Supervise and train apiary workers

About You
• No allergy to bees (essential)
• Willing to relocate to Tintinara or live within commuting distance
• Experience in supervising or leading staff in an apiary or agricultural setting
• Strong knowledge of hive management, bee health, biosecurity, and QA requirements
• Ability to coordinate daily operations and allocate tasks effectively
• Strong communication, organisation, and record-keeping skills
• Ability to train and mentor junior workers
• Ability to monitor production targets and report outcomes
• Current driver’s licence (HR/HC licence highly regarded)
• Comfortable with rural and outdoor work
