Engineering Technologist

Schlager Group is looking for full-time permanent Engineering Technologist to join their team on a full-time basis at least 38 hours per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of commercial construction and fit-out projects by providing practical technical input during planning and execution.

• Review project plans, drawings and specifications and identify technical requirements that need to be addressed before and during construction.

• Assist the project team with developing practical solutions to construction, design and engineering issues encountered on site.

• Carry out site visits, inspections and measurements to check existing conditions and provide accurate information for project planning and works.

• Work closely with builders, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to coordinate technical requirements and resolve project-related issues.

• Assist with selecting suitable construction methods, materials, equipment and systems based on project requirements, performance and practicality.

• Monitor completed and ongoing works and provide technical feedback to help maintain the required quality, functionality and project standards.

• Prepare technical information, project records, reports and documentation to support construction, handover, maintenance and future project requirements.

Requirements and Skills:

• Relevant qualification.

• At least 1 year of experience.

• Demonstrate strong practical, technical, communication, interpersonal and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively within a project team.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, plans, specifications and other project documentation.

• Demonstrate sound problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess technical issues and develop practical solutions during project planning and construction.

• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to support the successful delivery of projects.

Salary offered: $70,000 - $120,000

Type of Contract: Full time, at least 38 hours/week.
