Due to the business growing, we are now looking for a professional and reliable Civil Engineering Drafter to join our team.
Annual Salary: $89,960 plus superannuation contributions
Duties and Responsibilities of Civil Engineering Drafter
? Develop and produce high-quality civil engineering drawings, plans, and technical layouts using CAD software, ensuring all outputs meet applicable standards, codes, and project specifications.
? Interpret engineering designs and project requirements, working closely with engineers to translate concepts into accurate and practical drafting solutions.
? Carry out calculations and basic analysis to support design and drafting activities.
? Prepare quantity take-offs, estimate material requirements, and assist in compiling project cost estimates and documentation.
? Participate in site inspections to collect relevant data, including site conditions, materials, and measurements, and assist with related testing where required.
? Review and update drawings as needed, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with project teams to resolve issues efficiently and maintain project timelines.
The Applicant Must Meet the Following Qualification, Experience and Skills Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
? At least a Bachelor
? At least five years relevant working experience
Essential Skills
? Demonstrated experience using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
? Strong technical and computer skills with the ability to produce precise and detailed work.
? Sound knowledge of civil engineering practices, standards, and documentation requirements.
? Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
? Ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively within a team environment.
? Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
? Proven problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to tasks.
? Previous exposure to construction projects will be highly advantageous.
