General Practitioner

NORTEC EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING LIMITED The Practice: Valiant Primary Health is a medical centre with well-fitted-out facility: Full-time position (38 hours per week) Patient & staff parking is available. Location: Port Macquarie is a busy location, the existing patient base draws from nearby locations, and there is a significant shortage of General Practitioners across the area. Benefits The GP will be in charge of his/her patient billing and share revenue ranging between 50 to 70% depending on experience and qualification.

The successful applicant can expect to have a minimum guaranteed income of anything between $110000 to $130000 plus super (depending on experience) as his/her income from the billings. Task & responsibilities Provide skilled health assessment, diagnosis and treatment services to patients. Order diagnostic tests as needed, checking and informing patients of results as per clinic procedures.

Refer patients appropriately to other providers if their needs exceed the range of care, you are able to provide. Maintain professional knowledge and standards through continuing medical education and personal professional development. Demonstrate a working knowledge of practice policies and procedures, health service relevant legislation, and RACGP standards of General Practice.

Participate in activities, tasks and audits in support of practice accreditation, and attend clinical and non-clinical staff meeting, when scheduled. Qualification & experience Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Should have a base degree, following by suitable internship, with previous experience in General Practice.

A CPR Certificate is an advantage. Appropriate AHPRA registration to practice as a General Practitioner.
