About the role

Coonabarabran Health Service is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join our team and play a key role in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence of our nursing workforce.

This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about education, professional development, clinical excellence and supporting others to succeed.

Working across our Emergency Department, inpatient and community services, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to staff capability and patient care in a diverse rural health environment.

About the role

As our Clinical Nurse Educator, you will:

Develop and deliver engaging clinical education tailored to the needs of our rural workforce.

Support the orientation, induction and ongoing development of new and existing staff.

Provide clinical teaching, coaching, preceptorship and mentorship.

Support staff to maintain and develop clinical competencies and skills.

Identify education and capability gaps through clinical observation, audits, incidents and feedback.

Work collaboratively with nursing, medical and allied health teams to strengthen clinical practice.

Support quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.

Develop education and simulation opportunities relevant to rural and emergency nursing.

Support staff working across the broad range of presentations encountered in a rural health service.

Contribute to a positive learning culture where staff feel supported to ask questions, develop their skills and continually improve.
