Salary: $77,000 – $82,000 per annum + superannuation

Metro Wireless DX (operated by Mertel Pty Ltd) is an established retail business specialising in mobile phones, telecommunications products, plans, and related services. The business operates in a fast-paced retail environment requiring strong leadership, sales performance, and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

-Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, staff rostering, and coordination

-Supervise, train, and lead retail staff to ensure efficient performance

-Manage store financial performance including profit and loss, budgeting, and cost control

-Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)

-Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth

-Manage recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of staff

-Conduct staff performance reviews and manage workplace issues in line with company policies

-Oversee inventory control, stock ordering, and stocktake processes

-Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely stock availability

-Ensure high standards of customer service and handle escalated customer issues

-Maintain store presentation and implement promotional activities

Implement loss prevention and store security procedures

Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and company policies

Requirements

-At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in a retail management or supervisory role

-Strong leadership and communication skills

-Proven ability to manage store operations, staff, and sales performance

-Ability to meet sales targets and manage day-to-day retail operations

-Previous experience and knowledge of mobile phones, telecommunications products, mobile plans, and related services is highly preferred
