Mandatory requirements:

Australian Citizenship

A recognised tertiary qualification in an allied health or relevant clinical discipline (i.e. Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or similar).

Your New Role

You will be responsible for:

Conducting comprehensive support needs assessments by engaging with participants and their representatives to gather detailed, accurate information, ensuring a respectful, trauma-informed and person-centred approach throughout the process.

Analysing, interpreting and synthesising complex information and external evidence to develop clear, evidence-based assessments that accurately reflect individual circumstances and inform appropriate support outcomes.

Preparing high-quality written assessment reports that are clear, consistent and aligned with legislative and policy frameworks, ensuring decisions are transparent, defensible and uphold ethical standards.

Communicating effectively with participants, families and stakeholders across a range of channels, explaining assessment processes and outcomes in a way that is accessible, inclusive and easy to understand.

What You Will Need to Succeed

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

A recognised tertiary qualification in an allied health or relevant clinical discipline (such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or similar), is a requirement for the role.

Strong assessment capability and background, with the ability to gather, interpret and synthesise complex information to support clear, evidence-based decision-making.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to convey complex or sensitive information in a clear, respectful and accessible way across diverse audiences.

Sound judgement and problem-solving ability, with experience applying policy and managing risk to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes in a complex environment.

The Logistics

Contract until December 31st, 2026, with a view of extension or permanency.

Full-time & Hybrid working arrangement.

Hourly rate of $61.86 + super.

Australian Citizenship & tertiary qualification (proof required) is mandatory.
