The Hairdressing Salon Community Project will provide supervised, work-like experience for 3 trainee assistants, supported by 1 mentor. Participants will attend 10 hours per week across 1–2 days, developing practical skills in hair washing, cutting, lice treatment, basic styling and barbering. The project will also build customer service, communication, teamwork, hygiene, safe work practices, confidence and job readiness, supporting pathways into employment or further training.
