About the role:
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our client's multidisciplinary team and provide high-quality, person-centred speech pathology services to participants across a range of ages, conditions and support needs.
The role will involve conducting assessments, developing individualised treatment plans and providing practical strategies to improve participants' communication, swallowing and overall participation in daily life.
Depending on location and client requirements, services may be delivered in person and/or via telehealth .
Key responsibilites:
Conduct in-person assessments to identify participants' abilities, needs and challenges.
Develop individualised treatment strategies and intervention plans.
Develop and implement mealtime management plans where required.
Provide participants with practical exercises, strategies and education to support their daily communication and swallowing needs.
Provide advice regarding assistive and technical equipment that may support participants.
Liaise with other treating professionals and members of the multidisciplinary team regarding participant progress and outcomes.
Provide education, instruction and supervision to participants, support workers, family members and carers.
Identify opportunities for cross-disciplinary services that may benefit participants.
Maintain accurate participant health records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies and standards.
Contribute to innovative program planning, implementation and evaluation.
