Aged or Disabled Carer

We specialise in providing individualised care and support services for people with disabilities and the elderly, ensuring their dignity, independence, and well-being.

We are currently looking for few compassionate and dedicated Aged or Disabled Carers to join our growing team. Benefits Competitive Salary ($78,000 - $85,000 per annum). Full-time permanent position with career growth opportunities.

Task & responsibilities As an Aged or Disabled Carer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assisting clients with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and daily activities. Providing support in mobility and physical therapy exercises. Developing and implementing individualised care and support plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.

Monitoring clients’ physical, emotional, and mental well-being, and reporting any concerns. Facilitating community participation and social engagement for clients. Assisting in meal preparation, household chores, and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.

Supporting clients with medication administration under supervision. Applying behavior management strategies and ensuring a person-centred approach in caregiving. Documenting and maintaining accurate records of care plans, daily activities, and incidents.

Liaising with families, healthcare providers, and community service organizations to ensure optimal client care. Qualification & experience Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community, or Disability) or equivalent qualification. First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).

Manual handling and infection control training (preferred). Prior experience in aged care, disability support, or personal caregiving (minimum 12 months experience preferred). Strong ability to assess client needs and provide tailored support plans.

Ability to handle challenging behaviors with a compassionate and person-centred approach. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, families, and external agencies. Experience in liaising with community organizations and supporting social integration of clients.

A commitment to workplace health and safety standards in caregiving settings.
