Heavy Duty Diesel Field Service Mechanic

Brooks Hire Service Pty Ltd Based at the Brooks Hire Canning Vale branch, with regular travel to the Pilbara region. The Diesel Motor Mechanic (Mobile Plant) is responsible for the efficient and effective repair, service, and maintenance of diesel engines and mobile plant equipment to industry standards. The Diesel Motor Mechanic (Mobile Plant) inspects engines and related systems, diagnoses and repairs faults, performs routine preventative maintenance, and dismantles and reassembles engines, equipment, and components to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities: Perform field service maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of heavy earthmoving equipment (XCMG, CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, etc.) Conduct scheduled servicing, breakdown response, and component replacements in remote mine site environments Liaise with site supervisors and coordinators to deliver timely and high-quality service Ensure all work is completed to compliance, safety, and environmental standards Accurately complete job cards, timesheets, and service reports About Company Brooks Hire is a reputable family business known for providing essential services to the civil and mining sectors nationwide.
