Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll enjoy autonomy, visibility, and influence, playing a key role in shaping project outcomes, customer relationships, and future business success.
Your New Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of multiple complex defence projects, managing stakeholders, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, risks, and customer expectations across the full project lifecycle.
This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for delivering flagship programs, while acting as a trusted partner to defence customers and internal executive leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading multiple concurrent defence projects from initiation through to delivery
Managing complex project schedules, budgets, resources and risk profiles
Acting as the primary customer interface for key defence programs
Managing subcontractors and developing complex Statements of Work (SOWs)
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to contractual requirements
Providing project reporting and strategic updates to senior leadership
Contributing to bid activities, scope development and future growth opportunities
Driving continuous improvement across project delivery practices
What You'll Need to Succeed
Proven experience delivering complex defence projects and programs
Australian Citizenship and NV1 security clearance
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects within a defence highly regarded
Strong commercial and contractual management capability
Demonstrated success delivering projects involving electronics, communications, hardware, software, systems integration.
Experience managing subcontractors, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
Excellent leadership, communication and customer engagement skills
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business or a related discipline
AIPM, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification highly regarded
Australian Citizenship is essential
Active NV1 Security Clearance is essential
