Retail Manager

We're looking for a hands on Retail Manager to run the day-to-day floor, lead our team, and keep the store performing at its best. Benefits Competitive salary plus superannuation Staff discount on store range Stable, full-time hours with a supportive small-business owner Genuine autonomy in running the store and its team Opportunity to grow with the business as it expands Task & responsibilities Plan and organise the range of stock carried, and set pricing in line with market positioning and profitability targets Coordinate ordering, receipt, storage, distribution and in-store display of merchandise Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and distributors on pricing, availability, delivery schedules and promotional stock Monitor sales performance and profitability, and prepare regular sales and stock reports for the owner Ensure the store operates in full compliance with ACT liquor licensing conditions, Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements, and workplace health and safety obligations Oversee cash handling, EFTPOS reconciliation and banking procedures Manage stocktakes, stock control systems and loss prevention Handle customer enquiries, complaints and special orders to maintain a high standard of customer service Plan and implement in-store promotions, seasonal ranging and merchandising displays Prepare and manage the store's operating budget in consultation with ownership Qualification & experience Prior experience in a retail management or senior supervisory role, ideally within liquor, grocery or specialty retail Current ACT Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) Sound understanding of retail operations, including stock control, rostering and point-of-sale systems Strong communication and people-management skills Ability to work autonomously and make sound day-to-day operational decisions A relevant qualification in business, retail management or a related field is well regarded but not essential About Company Auzi Liquor is an independently owned liquor retailer based in Franklin, ACT, serving the local Gungahlin community with a carefully selected range and a strong focus on customer service.
