DRHL Heavy Equipment We are seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Diesel Motor Mechanic (full-time) . In this role, you will be responsible for the servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy vehicles and equipment. Your duties will include routine servicing, mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, component repairs, and ensuring vehicles remain safe, reliable, and compliant with relevant Victorian standards.
From carrying out routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance to diagnosing faults and completing major mechanical repairs and overhauls. You will ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant Victorian transport regulations and safety standards. Safety conscious workplace. Career development and progression. Task & responsibilities Key Tasks & Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair trucks and heavy vehicles .
Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance . Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults . Perform repairs and rebuilds on engines, transmissions and driveline components .
Diagnose and repair EGR, DPD/DPF and AdBlue systems . Conduct inspections, testing and fault-finding to ensure vehicles are safe and reliable. Complete scheduled fleet maintenance to minimize breakdowns and downtime.
Use diagnostic equipment and workshop tools effectively. Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards . Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Work safely and efficiently as part of the DRHL workshop team. Qualification & experience To be successful in this role you will have: Minimum Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (Mandatory) Minimum Trade Qualification: Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (Mandatory) Diploma of Automotive Management (Highly Preferred) Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment.
Have a strong mechanical aptitude. Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail. Valid work rights in Australia.
