Retail Buyer

4EAGLES PTY LTD-Cignall, a retail business specialising in tobacco products, cigarettes, smoking accessories, golden casket, various gift items and everyday convenience items etc., is seeking an experienced Retail Buyer to support its multi-store operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and selecting suitable products for sale across our retail stores. The role involves identifying suppliers, comparing product prices and quality, negotiating purchasing arrangements and monitoring product availability. You will work closely with store teams to understand customer demand and ensure appropriate products are available at each location. The position will also involve identifying new products and suppliers to support sales and product range development. This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in retail purchasing, product selection and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and liaise with suppliers for products required across the company’s multiple retail stores.

• Compare suppliers, product quality and prices to ensure suitable products are purchased for each store.

• Negotiate prices, supply arrangements and delivery terms with suppliers.

• Monitor stock requirements across different store locations and arrange the purchase and supply of products as needed.

• Work with store managers and staff to understand product demand and identify products that are selling well or need to be replenished.

• Maintain positive working relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers and product opportunities.

• Monitor product prices, stock availability and delivery schedules to support the smooth supply of products to all stores.

• Attend relevant trade shows and industry events to identify new products and suppliers suitable for the business.

• Work with management and store teams to support product promotions, special offers and seasonal product ranges.

• Review the quality and suitability of products before and after purchase and address any issues with suppliers.

• Keep records and prepare regular reports on purchases, suppliers, stock requirements and product performance across the stores.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 1 Year of experience in buying, procurement, sourcing is required.

• Strong negotiation skills, commercial awareness and the ability to select products that meet customer demand while achieving suitable

profit margins.

• Ability to analyse sales data, inventory reports and product performance.

• Ability to manage multiple products categories, suppliers and purchasing deadline.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately manage purchasing records and inventory information

• Competency in Microsoft Excel and report building systems.

• An AQF Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant field will be highly regarded.

Salary $95k - $100k

Hours Full -Time, 38 Hours (Weekly)
