About you

We are looking for a qualified baker with a minimum of 2 years of experience who possesses a strong work ethic with excellent organizational skills and is reliable and prepared to work early mornings.

The business is currently looking to acquire a full time, highly skilled, physically fit Baker to perform duties that include but not limited to the following:

• Lead and oversee the production team to produce high quality gourmet products with consistency, within specifications and required time frames

• Support, inspire and communicate effectively with team members to create a positive work environment

• Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, including sourdough, rye, and baguettes

• Follow recipes and baking procedures precisely

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Assist with other baking tasks as needed

• Preparing pastry fillings

• Work collaboratively to develop new products

• Manage production, work flow and time management of department

• Ordering, managing and maintaining ingredients and stock levels

• Create/update information sheets for shared team knowledge

• Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment

• Create, make and bake a variety of gourmet savory and sweet deserts and package for retail sale such as brownies, crumbles, cheesecakes, muffins, assorted slices along with par baked breads and pastries
