Motorcycle Mechanic

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Motorcycle Mechanics to join our busy workshop in Longreach.

This role involves servicing, diagnosing and repairing Honda and Suzuki motorcycles. You'll also assist with customer enquiries, equipment assembly, workshop operations and mentoring apprentices where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and fuel system faults on motorcycles, side-by-side (SxS) vehicles, ATVs.

• Perform full engine rebuilds, overhauls and major mechanical repairs to manufacturer specifications.

• Service, repair and maintain motorcycles, side-by-side vehicles, ATVs.

• Conduct routine servicing, preventative maintenance, inspections and safety checks.

• Assemble, test and prepare new motorcycles, side-by-side vehicles.

• Carry out warranty repairs and manufacturer-recommended servicing where applicable.

• Identify, source and fit replacement parts and accessories as required.

• Complete accurate repair documentation, service records and job cards.

• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop while complying with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

• Provide professional customer service by explaining faults, repairs, servicing requirements and equipment operation.

• Assist customers with technical advice, spare parts, accessories and product enquiries.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' relevant mechanical experience.

• Experience working with motorcycles.

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Current manual driver's licence (preferred).

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Relevant trade qualifications

• Experience with Honda & Suzuki would be highly regarded.
