The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of hairdressing services to clients, including consultation, cutting, styling, colouring and hair treatments.

This position requires a skilled hairdresser who can work independently, maintain high professional standards and provide personalised recommendations based on each client's hair type, condition and desired outcome. Task & responsibilities Consult with clients to determine their preferred hairstyles, hair treatments and haircare requirements, and provide professional advice on suitable hairstyles, haircare products and services. Shampoo clients' hair and condition the scalp using appropriate professional haircare products and techniques.

Cut, trim and shape hair using scissors, clippers and razors, according to clients' requirements and the desired hairstyle. Style and finish hair using appropriate hairdressing techniques and equipment, including creating braids, dreadlocks and other hairstyles, and applying hair extensions where required. Colour hair using appropriate chemical solutions and professional colouring techniques, including applying colour, highlights and other colour treatments according to client requirements.

Perform hair straightening and permanent waving services such as Nano Pasty using appropriate chemical solutions and professional techniques. Assess and provide appropriate hair and scalp treatments to maintain hair condition and assist clients with their haircare requirements. Provide clients with advice on hair maintenance, styling techniques, haircare products and ongoing hair and scalp care.

Shave and trim beards and moustaches where required as part of the salon's hairdressing services. Clean and maintain hairdressing work areas and sanitise scissors, clippers, razors, combs, brushes and other hairdressing instruments in accordance with salon hygiene and safety procedures. Arrange client appointments, maintain appointment information and process or collect client payments where required.

Maintain professional standards of customer service and ensure clients receive hairdressing services in accordance with their requested hairstyle, treatment and haircare requirements. Where required, clean, colour, cut and style wigs and hairpieces in accordance with client requirements. Maintain knowledge of current haircare products, hairstyles and hairdressing techniques to provide appropriate professional advice and services to clients.

Qualification & experience AQF Certificate III in in Hairdressing or higher in relevant qualification is required Minimum 1 year of work experience (full time/part time or casual) as a qualified Hairdresser in a professional salon environment. Strong technical skills in cutting, styling, colouring and hair treatments. Skilled in installing the weft/tape hair extensions.

Skilled in Permanent Straightening such as Nano Pasty. Demonstrated experience with highlights, balayage, colour transformations and other professional colouring techniques. Ability to consult with clients and translate their requirements into appropriate hair services.

Strong knowledge of haircare products, styling techniques and hair/scalp treatments. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a professional salon team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, in accordance with the salon's trading requirements.
