My Australian Career An established engineering company with over 70 years of combined industry experience, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer and a Structural Engineer to join its team on a full-time basis Position Overview: Mechanical Engineer The Mechanical Engineer designs and optimizes mechanical systems and equipment for manufacturing, fabrication, and production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

The role covers engineering analysis, plant installation/maintenance oversight, and cross-team collaboration to support Baden Engineering's work in general engineering, manufacturing, and the mineral drilling and oilfield sectors. Structural Engineer The Structural Engineer analyses and designs structural systems and components for fabrication, manufacturing, and construction, ensuring strength, durability, and compliance with industry standards and safety codes.

The role covers structural analysis and load calculations, materials and quality specification, and oversight of fabrication and construction to support Baden Engineering's work in general engineering, manufacturing, and the mineral drilling and oilfield sectors. Task & responsibilities Mechanical Engineer Design and develop mechanical components, tooling, and equipment for manufacture, fabrication, and production Oversee CNC and manual machining, production runs, and fabrication to ensure output meets design specifications Conduct testing and analysis to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency of mechanical systems Manage projects from concept to completion, coordinating materials, equipment, and timelines Inspect plant and equipment, diagnose faults, and direct maintenance and repair work Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and safety regulations Provide technical support to our production, fabrication, and drilling/oilfield service teams Structural Engineer Analyse the structural and load-bearing properties of components, equipment, and fabricated structures Design structural elements and systems for fabrication, manufacturing, and construction, ensuring strength, durability, and safety Determine construction methods, materials, and quality standards, and draft and interpret specifications, drawings, and plans Test and evaluate the behaviour and durability of materials used in fabrication and construction Supervise and inspect fabrication and construction work to ensure compliance with designs and specifications Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards and safety regulations Provide technical support to our engineering, fabrication, and drilling/oilfield service teams Qualification & experience Mechanical Engineer Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) Strong understanding of mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes Experience in a workshop, fabrication, or production environment (drilling/oilfield exposure a plus) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, production, and maintenance teams Structural Engineer Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Strong understanding of structural analysis, materials, and load calculations Experience in a workshop, fabrication, or construction environment (drilling/oilfield exposure a plus) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, fabrication, and production teams About Company How to Apply: If you possess the qualifications and passion to excel as a Mechanical Engineer or Structural Engineer in Australia, we invite you to apply by submitting your resume and cover letter.
