Task & responsibilities Key Responsibilities Technical Recruitment: Lead end-to-end recruitment for highly technical and specialised roles, including complex litigation solicitors, class-action specialists, and risk advisors. HR Technology Systems & Digital Transformation: Manage, implement, and optimise HR technology platforms including HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), performance management systems, and HR automation tools.
Design and maintain HR analytics dashboards and automated reporting mechanisms to provide real-time visibility into recruitment metrics, employee engagement, and operational efficiency. Lead digital transformation initiatives to streamline HR workflows, automate compliance reporting, and improve data accessibility across five national offices. Strategic HR Operations and Workforce Planning: Oversee onboarding, performance management, and employee retention strategies across our five national offices.
Conduct workforce forecasting to anticipate hiring needs in specialised legal roles. Partner with Principal Partners to develop and execute multi-year talent acquisition and retention strategies aligned with firm growth objectives. Compensation & Total Rewards Strategy: Conduct regular compensation benchmarking using industry tools and data sources (e.g., LinkedIn Insights, ZipRecruiter, professional services salary surveys) to ensure Adero Law maintains competitive positioning for legal talent.
Build compensation matrices aligned with market data and firm growth. Advise leadership on total rewards positioning to support recruitment and retention in competitive markets. HR Metrics, Analytics & Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on comprehensive HR metrics including time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, pipeline velocity, recruitment funnel conversion rates, turnover rates, employee engagement scores, and diversity metrics.
Build predictive models to forecast hiring demands and optimise recruitment ROI. Provide monthly and quarterly reporting to Principal Partners on key HR performance indicators and strategic recommendations. Employee Relations & Compliance: Champion our firm’s values while ensuring all internal HR practices reflect the highest standards of employment law compliance (aligning with our own expertise in the Fair Work space).
Cultural & Global Alignment: Leverage your international and regional experience to foster an inclusive workplace culture and support cross-border talent acquisition when necessary. Qualification & experience About You (Skills & Experience) To be successful in this role, you must possess: Asia Pacific (APAC) Knowledge & Experience: A strong understanding of the APAC talent landscape, cultural nuances, and regional workforce trends.
International Work Experience: Proven professional experience working outside of Australia, bringing a broad, global perspective to human resources and organizational development. Technical Field Recruitment: Demonstrated success in sourcing and recruiting candidates in highly technical or professional services fields (legal, finance, engineering, or IT). HR Metrics & Analytics: Strong capability in utilizing HR data and metrics to drive decision-making, forecast hiring needs, and improve operational efficiency.
Core HR Competencies: A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, coupled with a strong foundational knowledge of Australian employment standards. Exceptional Communication: The ability to influence and partner effectively with senior legal professionals and Managing Principals.
