Your new role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a collaborative finance team based in Forest Glen. This position has become available due to the departure of a long-standing team member and offers the opportunity to join a stable and growing organisation with strong employee retention. Key responsibilities include:
Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
Matching purchase orders, dockets and supporting documentation to invoices
Managing supplier accounts and performing account reconciliations
Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and account queries
Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payment processing
Assisting with month-end Accounts Payable activities
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company procedures
Providing administrative support and assisting with ad hoc finance-related tasks as required
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role
Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and procedures
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
Experience using ERP systems
Experience with Viewpoint or TechnologyOne would be highly regarded but is not essential
Experience within construction, civil, infrastructure or project-based industries will be advantageous
Current driving licence and reliable transport
