Restaurant Manager

Salary: $83,000 – $88,000 per annum

NFR Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our team at the McDonald’s restaurant in TBA.

This full-time position is suited to an experienced manager with a strong background in a fast-paced hospitality, quick-service restaurant or retail environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, leading and developing staff, maintaining high customer service standards, overseeing stock and labour requirements, monitoring operational performance, and ensuring compliance with food safety, workplace safety and McDonald’s operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, including customer service, staffing, stock control, food production and operational performance.

• Managing product availability and stock levels based on customer demand, sales trends and operational requirements, in accordance with McDonald’s approved menu and supplier arrangements.

• Managing stock ordering and replenishment through approved suppliers, monitoring inventory levels and taking action to minimise shortages, wastage and unnecessary stockholding.

• Implementing McDonald’s approved pricing, promotional and product initiatives, and coordinating local area marketing activities to support sales and customer engagement.

• Monitoring customer service standards and resolving significant customer complaints or service issues to maintain McDonald’s service and brand standards.

• Maintaining accurate records of stock movements, stocktakes, sales and other operational transactions, and reviewing these records to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.

• Monitoring the restaurant’s financial performance against approved budgets and targets, including sales, labour costs, food costs and other operating expenses.

• Managing the selection, induction, rostering, training, performance and ongoing development of restaurant employees to maintain appropriate staffing levels and service standards.

• Supervising restaurant operations and providing direction to managers, supervisors and crew members to ensure service, food quality and operational targets are consistently achieved.

• Ensuring compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety, employment requirements and McDonald’s operational policies and procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality, Retail, Business, Management or a related discipline.

• McDonald’s Management Certificate or equivalent recognised management training.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality, quick-service restaurant or fast-food industry.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, train and develop a high-performing team.

• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to manage customer feedback and resolve service issues effectively.

• Sound understanding of stock control, rostering, labour management and day-to-day restaurant operations.

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, food safety, hygiene and operational compliance.
