Care Bound is a specialist disability support day program provider based in Seven Hills, Western Sydney. We deliver high-quality, person-centred programs for autistic adults and participants with disability including our Active Day Program, Daily Life Skills Program, Afternoon Program, School Pickup Program, and Community Participation supports.
Our mission is simple: to empower participants and their families by building capacity, independence, and positive life outcomes. We work closely with families, allied health professionals, and support coordinators to ensure every participant thrives in a structured, warm, and genuinely purposeful environment.
We are growing and looking for experienced, calm, and dedicated Female Disability Support Workers to join our team at our Seven Hills centre.
About the Role
You will support participants living with disability including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and high and complex support needs across daily activities, social skills development, and community participation.
This role requires a calm, structured, and consistent approach, with a proven ability to work with participants who present with complex behaviours and communication differences. You will play a meaningful role in helping participants build real independence and genuine community connection every single day.
Due to the personal care needs of some female participants including swimming, bathroom support, and personal hygiene assistance a female support worker is required as a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with applicable anti-discrimination legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver person-centred disability support tailored to each participant's individual needs, goals, and support plan
Support daily living activities (ADLs) with dignity and respect including personal care, meal preparation, and hygiene assistance
Apply structured Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies consistently and proactively
Implement choice and control frameworks to promote participant autonomy and independence
Use proactive and reactive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies as required
Facilitate community participation, social engagement, and life skills development in real-world environments
Provide participant transport including pick-up and drop-off from homes, schools, and community venues
Maintain accurate progress notes, documentation, and incident reports
Work collaboratively with families, therapists, support coordinators, and the wider Care Bound team
Support participants in building confidence, routine, and meaningful community connections
About You
You are calm, emotionally steady, and able to support participants with consistency, patience, and genuine respect. You communicate clearly, work well both independently and within a team, and are confident managing complex behaviours in a structured, person-centred environment.
You understand the importance of routine, safety, and respectful support when working with participants with Autism Spectrum Disorder and complex needs and you bring that understanding to every shift.
