FORKLIFT DRIVER

We are currently looking for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team at our strawberry farm

Salary: $72,306 per year

This is a physically demanding and fast-paced role. Applicants should be prepared for long working days, early starts and working 6 days per week.

Requirements

* Valid Forklift Licence is essential

* Previous forklift driving experience is required

* Must be confident and competent operating a forklift in a busy work environment

* Good awareness of safety and surroundings

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Reliable, punctual and able to commit to **6 days per week**

* Physically fit and comfortable working for extended periods

* Ability to work **early mornings through to late afternoon/evening**, depending on daily operations

* Must be able to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods

Main Duties

* Operating a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the site

* Moving strawberry pallets from outside storage areas into the **cool rooms**

* Moving strawberries from the cool rooms to the **packing room** as required

* Loading and unloading pallets

* Organising and positioning pallets in designated areas

* Assisting with general warehouse and production movements

* Following instructions from supervisors and responding quickly to changing operational requirements

* Maintaining a clean and safe working area

* Completing all forklift operations in accordance with workplace safety procedures
