Position: Truck Driver

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Handling: Skillfully position vehicles for optimal loading and unloading, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.

• Loading and Unloading: Utilize advanced lifting and tipping devices to load and unload goods, adhering to strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

• Safety Compliance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles to guarantee roadworthiness and compliance with all safety regulations.

• Weight Management: Accurately estimate and manage cargo weight to adhere to load limitations, ensuring safe and balanced vehicle operation.

• Cargo Security: Secure cargo effectively to prevent damage or loss during transit, using covers and restraints as necessary.

• Documentation and Verification: Manage loading documents meticulously, verify the condition of goods upon collection and delivery, and secure necessary delivery certifications.

• Route Planning: Plan and navigate routes efficiently, considering traffic, weather conditions, and delivery schedules to optimize delivery times.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Customer Interaction: Maintain professionalism and effective communication with clients and receivers during deliveries, enhancing customer relations.

• Emergency Handling: Respond adeptly to any on-road emergencies or unexpected delays, keeping logistics coordinators informed.

• Technology Utilization: Use technology tools for route navigation and real-time tracking to streamline operations and enhance delivery efficiency.

Personal Attributes:

• Excellent time management skills to handle schedules and deadlines effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High level of physical fitness and stamina.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year experience driving Heavy Rigid (HR) trucks in a commercial transport or logistics setting.

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) truck driver’s license is essential.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
