Hammond Migration is an immigration law practice based in Melbourne supporting companies and individuals with their visa and immigration needs across the entire Australian visa spectrum. We're pint-sized, but agile, and have a commitment to delivering high quality immigration services. We support work from home, and have a base in Melbourne city for whenever you need a change of scenery.

The Role

We are seeking a bookkeeper to work about 20 hours per week on either a part-time, casual or contract basis. Both fully remote and hybrid candidates based in Melbourne considered.

Responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of trust, office and credit card accounts

• Maintaining and processing of the trust account

• Disbursement and debtor control/management

• Accounts payable and receivable

• Report production for management and external accountant

• Maintain the integrity of the firm’s accounting system

• Liaise with the firm’s accountants, partners and staff

About you

We’re looking for a candidate with:

• Good communication and time management skills;

• Able to work independently (with options to work from home and at the office) as well as part of a team interchangeably;

• Xero bookkeeping experience essential;

• Legal (Trust), Migration Manager or LodgeHQ experience desirable

Salary commensurate with experience.
