We are looking for an Electrical Instrument Technician to join our Port Hedland workshop on a 2:1 roster, supporting instrumentation and control systems work across various projects as required. This is a hands-on role working on live plant and equipment for clients in the resources and industrial sectors. We are offering $50 to $70 per hour
You will need:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in instrumentation, electrical or control systems work (Australian or overseas experience considered)
• Sound working knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems and control equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical and electrical drawings
• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
• Current Australian Driver's licence
• Construction Induction Safety certi?cate (White Card)
• Willingness to work a 2:1 roster and travel between projects as required
• Current Low Voltage Rescue First Aid accreditation
Key responsibilities:
• Install, calibrate and maintain instrumentation and control systems
• Test and fault-?nd ?eld instruments, including pressure, temperature, ?ow and level transmitters
• Maintain and support PLC and SCADA control systems
• Commission and troubleshoot process control equipment
• Interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, P&IDs and control schematics
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and site operational requirements
• Prepare maintenance reports, test records and calibration certi?cates
• Work collaboratively with the broader electrical and instrumentation team across workshop and site-based projects
