ANNUAL SALARY: $80,000.00 TO $90,000.00
Position Summary
Precision Poultry Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Poultry Farm Manager / Assistant Poultry Farm Manager to assist with the management and coordination of its poultry farming operations in Tabbita, NSW.
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising daily farm operations, maintaining high standards of poultry health and welfare, achieving production targets and ensuring effective use of farm staff, equipment and resources.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate and supervise poultry production and daily farming activities.
• Monitor bird health, welfare, nutrition and environmental conditions and take appropriate corrective action where required.
• Oversee feeding programs, vaccination and medication schedules and other poultry husbandry requirements.
• Maintain and enforce farm biosecurity, hygiene and animal welfare procedures.
• Monitor production performance and analyse flock, mortality, feed consumption and other operational data.
• Assist with production planning and the achievement of farm performance targets.
• Monitor the condition of sheds, poultry housing, feeding and watering systems, ventilation systems and other farm equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs to farm infrastructure and equipment.
• Maintain accurate production, livestock, health, treatment, biosecurity and operational records.
• Identify production or operational issues and implement approved improvements.
• Assist with budgeting, stock control, purchasing and efficient use of farm resources.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of operational and longer-term farm plans.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent, or at least 3 years related & relevant experience
• Strong understanding of poultry management practices, including animal health, nutrition, housing and equipment
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of farm workers
• Proficient in data analysis and the use of farm management software
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
