Temporary Part-Time - 16 hours per week, up to 1 September 2028

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network NAPS team is multidisciplinary, consisting of doctors, nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, allied health assistants, pharmacists, volunteers, and administration officers, working together to provide palliative care for people with a life limiting illness in northern metropolitan Adelaide. Palliative Care is a collaborative practice with the multidisciplinary team to help build care plans which supports the patients' symptom management, health system navigation and quality of life.

About the Role

This role will provide leadership, coordination, and support for research activities within the Northern Adelaide Palliative Service by building research capability and confidence through mentoring, collaboration, education whilst assisting with data collection, ethics submissions, grant applications and dissemination of research outcomes. This will assist with facilitating research-informed improvements in clinical practice and translation of evidence into practice resulting in better outcomes for patients, families, and the broader community.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Nurse Consultant RN3 or Allied Health Professional AHP3 - Research, you'll work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network's (NALHN) Primary Health Care unit to advance the evidence base underpinning palliative and supportive care services. This is a part-time, fixed-term contract through to 1 September 2028. Your core responsibilities will include:

Leading and contributing to palliative care research projects, ensuring rigorous methodology and ethical compliance

Translating research findings into practice improvements within the Northern Adelaide Palliative Care Service

Collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical and academic partners to progress research priorities

Preparing reports, publications, and presentations that communicate findings to clinical and broader stakeholder audiences

What You'll Bring

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or relevant Allied Health Professional

Demonstrated experience in health research, including study coordination, data collection, or analysis

Understanding of palliative, end-of-life, or chronic disease care contexts

Ability to work effectively within SA Health governance frameworks, including research ethics and compliance processes

Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing research outputs for varied audiences

Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
