Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working to assist our client who operates a successful Indian restaurant located in the heart of Footscray. Their diverse menu focuses on Indian cuisine, featuring classic Indian entrées, flavourful curries, aromatic biryanis, Indian style Chinese dishes, a variety of vegetarian options and many more. Popular with locals, families and visitors, this venue is well known for delivering authentic Indian flavours and warm hospitality.

With a dedication to excellence and quality service, our client is now seeking a new Cook to join their happy and productive kitchen team. The role is full time, and ongoing with shifts across the working week.

Salary - Offered in the range of $75k to $82k plus superannuation per annum

Responsibilities of our Cook will include:

• High standard meals preparation and quality control (checks of raw materials,

temperature controls).

• Ensure compliance of the HACCP system regarding food handling procedures.

• Portion and plate foods in accord with company policy and procedures.

• Hygienic food storage in refrigerators.

• Training of kitchen staff and apprentices as required.

About you:

• You have a passion for cooking – you want to produce the finest.

• You have a well organised working style – able to cheerfully meet demanding

work requirements.

• You can work independently, as part of a team, and have an excellent

communication style.

• You have a passion for the hospitality industry and are up to date on techniques

and food trends.

• You have an unwavering commitment to flavour and presentation of the

highest quality.

To be successfully considered for the role you:

• Possess relevant Certificate IV or agreed substitute.

• Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience since earning your qualifications.

• Are available across the working week, including weekends.

• Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to

achieve them.

• Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.

• Have experience working in a similar cuisine and professional environment.

You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
