Lawns and Garden Maintenance Officer

The purpose of this position is to provide clients with high-quality lawn maintenance and gardening services that support individual needs, enhance independence, improve safety, and contribute to overall wellbeing and quality of life. Services are delivered in line with Subee’s client-centred approach, policies, and procedures, supporting each client’s individual goals and aspirations.

The Lawns and Gardens Team Member work with a level of autonomy appropriate to their skills, training, and experience, while adhering to Subee’s policies, procedures, and work instructions.

The role requires the ability to:

• Assess garden and lawn maintenance tasks within agreed service scope.

• Use sound judgement to identify hazards, risks, or issues that may impact safety, service quality, or client satisfaction.

• Escalate concerns, incidents, equipment faults, or out-of-scope requests to a supervisor or manager in a timely manner.

• Adapt services to meet varying client needs while maintaining professional boundaries and safety Standards.

The Lawns and Garden Team Member is required to demonstrate the following competencies and experience:

• Demonstrated experience in lawn maintenance, gardening, or grounds keeping

• Ability to safely use a range of gardening and lawn maintenance equipment

• Experience in the application of herbicides, pesticides, and fertilisers (desirable)

• Current driver’s licence with the ability to drive manual and/or automatic vehicles

• Experience or demonstrated capability in towing a trailer (essential or highly desirable, depending on role requirements)

• Strong understanding of workplace safety and risk management

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication skills and a respectful, client-focused approach

• Physical capacity to perform the inherent requirements of the role
