POSITION

We have a full-time position for a Farm Hand in Boogan, QLD 4871.

SKILLS

You must have at least 1 year of relevant job experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Farm Hand is responsible for carrying out a wide range of cultivation, harvesting, and post-harvest activities to support the production of high-quality bananas.

POSITION DUTIES

You will need to undertake the following tasks;

• Carry out general banana farm cultivation, pruning, bunch care and harvesting duties.

• Operate farm machinery and equipment safely, including completing required pre-start checks.

• Select, bag and protect banana bunches using the correct coloured bags and sizes.

• Perform bell injecting, bunch pruning and other crop maintenance activities as required.

• Clean, sterilise and maintain equipment, and report completed tasks to farm management.

• Follow all PPE, chemical handling, food safety, biosecurity and workplace health and safety requirements.

SALARY

The position will attract a salary between $70 000 to $75 000 per annum.
