Salary: $80,000 plus 12% superannuation

Our client DAAS Australia Pty Ltd t/a Metco Singleton operates a Metco Petroleum station and food outlet at Singleton NSW. The client is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to lead their team and will be responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and performance of all day-to-day operational functions at the service station. This includes managing the retail fuel forecourt, food store and convenience items. staff supervision, and compliance with all occupational health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards.

The role is central to ensuring that the site operates smoothly, delivering high levels of customer service, maintaining inventory and merchandising standards, controlling operational costs, and ensuring the integrity and security of daily financial transactions.

The managerial and administrative aspect of your role will encompass determining product mix, stock levels and service standards, selling goods, maintaining records of stock, financial transactions and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Food Store/ Fuel station operations: Manage daily operations, ensuring a well-organized, clean, and welcoming environment.

- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, fostering a motivated and productive team.

- Customer Service: Maintain high service standards, promptly addressing customer inquiries and concerns.

- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, coordinate orders, and ensure optimal product availability. Formulate and implement purchasing strategies and set competitive pricing.

- Sales & Marketing: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, including promotions and special offers.

- Compliance: Ensure adherence to workplace health & safety regulations and company policies.

- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor financial transactions, and ensure profitability goals are met.

Minimum Requirements:

- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field

- Minimum one year of experience in a similar role within the retail sector

- In the absence of formal qualifications, at least three years of relevant experience may substitute, with additional on-the-job training as necessary.

- Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced retail environment
