What You’ll Be Doing

1. Managing orthodontic treatments and restoring oral function through suitable fixed or removable dental prostheses, while monitoring patient outcomes and ongoing oral health needs.

2. Delivering preventative and restorative dental care, including periodontal treatments, fluoride applications, management of tooth decay, and procedures involving crowns, bridges, implants and other restorative treatments.

3. Assessing patients through comprehensive dental examinations, reviewing medical histories, radiographs and other diagnostic information to identify oral conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.

4. Educating patients on oral hygiene and treatment options, recognising oral signs associated with broader medical conditions, and working collaboratively with dental assistants, hygienists, therapists and other dental professionals.

5. Performing appropriate oral surgical procedures, including tissue biopsies and other minor interventions, and prescribing medications where clinically indicated and within professional scope.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Dentistry, consistent with the requirements for the Dentist occupation.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in dentistry.

• Demonstrated ability to assess patients, interpret diagnostic information and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Strong clinical judgement, attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain treatment options clearly to patients.

• Registration or licensing is required to practise as a Dentist in Australia
