Wall and Floor Tiler

BS TILING SERVICES PTY LTD We are seeking an experienced and reliable Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves tiling work across residential projects, including new homes, renovations and custom builds. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with others and can complete jobs efficiently.

The successful applicant will prepare surfaces, measure and set out work areas, install wall and floor tiles, complete waterproofing and grouting, and carry out finishing work. Task & responsibilities Read and interpret plans and measure areas to determine tile quantities, layout and materials required. Prepare walls and floors by removing existing tiles, adhesive, grout and other materials. Repair cracks, holes and uneven surfaces and ensure areas are ready for tiling.

Apply waterproofing materials to bathrooms, laundries and other wet areas. Measure, mark and set out surfaces to ensure accurate tile placement. Mix and apply adhesives and install wall and floor tiles.

Cut and shape tiles to fit around pipes, drains, taps, corners, edges and other fixtures. Check tile levels, alignment and spacing during installation. Apply grout and clean finished surfaces.

Install mosaic and decorative tile patterns where required. Lay specialised flooring finishes such as terrazzo, granolithic and cement-based finishes where required. Check completed work and correct any defects or uneven finishes.

Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Work with supervisors, builders and other trades to complete projects efficiently. Follow Australian Standards, manufacturer instructions and workplace safety requirements.

Use tools and equipment safely and wear required PPE on site. Qualification & experience Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or a similar recognised qualification, or relevant practical experience. Previous experience in residential wall and floor tiling.

Ability to read plans, take measurements and set out tiling accurately. Experience with surface preparation, waterproofing, tile cutting, laying and grouting. Good attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Current Construction White Card. Valid Australian driver's licence and reliable transport.
